He cares!

So....it has been what it feels like a lifetime since iv'e made my last post. Iv'e been busy with the end of the year of 8th grade and some busy summer days. Now I finally have time to make a new post! It's Sunday evening, and i'm enjoying the lovely lovely Tennessee weather while looking at the gargantuan pumpkins that have decided to spring up in our families' backyard. We also have three apple trees that have started to bear nice little green apples :D. God is so wonderful; so faithful! He cares about every little thing. It says in the word that God cares for each sparrow that falls. The Lord also cares VERY much for us. In 1 Peter 5:6-7 it states: "Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He way exalt you in due time, casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you." He loves us. He cares for us. In our lives, we often face difficult situations that cause us to completely panic and not think twice about asking God for help.We think that we can handle things on our own. God knows what's going on, but he wants to have a relationship where you can run into His arms and tell Him your troubles. Even when you think NO ONE is there, God is! Just like it states in 1 Peter, He cares.

Winter Jam!!!

So. Winter Jam is in March, and I am patiently waiting for it to come. I missed it last year, and was appalled when my sisters (Amber, Brooke, and Victoria) came home and told me how "amazingly awesome" it was, carelessly rubbing in my face the fact I didn't go... well, SLIGHT exaggeration :D. I was actually at a program called D-now (discipleship now) with my good buddy Tessa Brooke <3 but she actually left me also hehe :). If you have not read my information that talks about the music I like, I encourage you to do so. Some of the artists I have mentioned will be there, and I am absolutely ELATED!!! Red, the band, will be there. Oh boy! And one artist that I am exceptionally excited about is Francesca Batistelli (if that is how you spell her name). If you have not heard of her, please look her up. She is such an amazing lady who is on fire for God <3. If you're just too lazy to look her up right now (jk jk!), I shall post a video of one of her newer songs called "Beautiful, beautiful."

Enjoy!

We are the Body

This song is so manditory to listen to. It tells a TRUE story about Christians today, making it crucial for the true Christians to step up and make a change. If we are the Body, why do the arms seem broken? If we are the body, why do the ears only hear what they want to hear, blocking out what actually matters? If we are the body, why are the legs crippled? We're always hoping for a brighter tomorrow and future, and think that since we have such a powerful God, He'll be able to do it all. We are sadly mistaken. We were set here for a purpose: to do His will. We've got to be proactive!!! From experience, I can tell you. Alot of people around you are not Christians. It's up to us to spread His great love around to people that truly, truly need it.

         Enjoy the video :)

I really love rabbits :D

I guess this is how it has to be.

Well, we're out of school. I've been out of school from snow days so much, I've forgotten how to spell, count, etc. I know this is odd, but it seems to me that when a kid is out of school for a while, they really have a strong desire to learn something. So, here's my routine: Read the Bible, ask Dad for some of his "pearls of wisdom", have self respect for you and others, DON'T LIE, don't be prideful ("Pride goes before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall"), listen to what other people have to say, stop thinking and talking only about yourself. As Harper Lee states in her book To kill a Mockingbird "I tried to jump in Jem's skin and walk around in it. . ." We should start realizing what other people are going through, not just our own circumstances. These are some of the things that I can learn in my quiet time, and be prepared when I go out in the world. This girl below on the left is one of my friends. I was so caught up in my own world that I didn't pay attention to what she said. We almost totally  became enemies, but I fell flat on my face just in time. I didn't realize how special she was to me until she was about to leave. I thank God for making me realize my faults, and pray that He will allow you to realize yours, too.

    God Bless,

It's just depressing.

Well, all the Christmas decorations are down. The house looks so bare!!! Last weekend, I stayed in Maryville with my cousins. They took all of their Christmas decorations down. Alex, my cousin began the "After Christmas Christmas carols" As sang: "It's the worst, oh the most worstest time of the year" and "Chestnuts roasted on a smoldering fire. . ." Sad, sad times. But all in all, I am totally excited about 2011 and all the surprises it will unfold!!! :)

Friends

Well, staying up until 1:27 in the morning on Christmas break with my best friend is one of my many favorite things to do. Talking, sharing things that we wouldn't want other people to know, etc. etc. That's what I LOVE about sleepovers. You can really find who your true friends are! Sometimes I pin her down and say "What is said in this room stays in this room!!!!" It's great!
